04 Dec 2018 : Aaron takes Player of the Month accolade after outstanding November
Aaron Morris is the Bowland Brewery sponsored Player of the Month for November at Runcorn Linnets.
Having now fully found his feet at this higher level of football, Aaron has recently been turning in some of his best ever form in a Runcorn shirt, and a faultless month earns him the monthly award.
Aaron has been a mainstay of Michael Ellison's defence ever since Ello took charge back in the summer of 2016. He has become an even better player since making the step up the EVO-STIK League level with the Linnets and has formed an impressive partnership with fellow centre back Pete Wylie this season.
Pivotal in helping the Linnets secure a clean sheet against a strong Leek Town side at the start of the month, Aaron then came away from the defeat at Market Drayton as one of the few standout performers in an out-of-sorts Linnets team showing.
In the eye-catching Integro Cup victory away at Leek Town, not only were Aarons defensive abilities on show but also his knack for scoring the odd goal, getting his name on the scoresheet with a clinical headed finish of which any centre forward would have been proud!
When Newcastle Town visited the Millbank Linnets Stadium Aaron was once again a stand out performer, particularly in the first half when the Linnets were not fully on song.
His efforts in this game didn't go unnoticed as they earned him the man-of-the-match award in the Linnets Updates twitter poll that follows every game.
Congratulations Aaron on this deserved award!
