We took to twitter for a vote to decide our Millbank Player of the Month for March.

The result of the poll is that Jimmy Moore has swept to victory with 57% of votes cast.

Jimmy takes the award after maintaining his supremely consistent displays at the heart of the Linnets rearguard.

The club is very saddened to report the death of supporter Eddie Daley.

A familiar face at games home and away, Eddie was one of our loyal fans from across the river.

Eddie, who passed away last Saturday, could often be found pottering around Widnes town centre and on meeting him, he would always stop for a quick chat about all things Linnets and check on forthcoming matches.

A great character, Eddie had been a life member at The Millbank and will be missed by all at the club who knew him but particularly Dave Brown & Co, who stood with him at the bottom end of the ground.
