17 Jan 2018 : Millbank Linnets Stadium to stage international club U19s match this Sunday
We are delighted to have been asked to host an Under 19s match between RB Leipzig and Glasgow Rangers this Sunday (January 21st). The invitation came via Liverpool FC Academy.
The match is a 2pm kick off and is open to spectators. Admission will be free.
17 Jan 2018 : Midfielder Rory Fallon moves on
Rory Fallon's registration in The Hallmark Security League has been transferred from Runcorn Linnets to 1874 Northwich.
The former FC United of Manchester midfield player made three successive home appearances for the Linnets, including one as sub, and scored one goal, but had not featured since September 23rd.
We wish him well at his new club.
13 Jan 2018 : Runcorn beat Congleton Town 3-1
Runcorn beat Congleton Town in the The Hallmark Security League Premier Division at The Millbank Linnets Stadium with a score of 3-1. Congleton Town scored in the 4th minute. Danny O'Brien equalised with a penalty following a delay of around 30 minutes due to floodlight failure. Stuart Wellstead scored for the Linnets with a powerful strike from the edge of the area in the 71st minute. Freddie Potter increased the Linnets' lead with a cheeky tap from the edge of the 6 yard box in the 72nd minute. Match Report
11 Jan 2018 : Louis Corrigan signs on at The Millbank
Runcorn Linnets have signed highly-rated and experienced EVO-STIK League player, Louis Corrigan.
A left-sided utility man, doubling as a full back or midfielder, 27-year-old Louis arrives from Trafford, who he had joined in the 2017 pre-season.
He started out with Tranmere Rovers, aged 16, in 2007 and has had two spells at both Colwyn Bay and Skelmersdale United - helping the latter win promotion to the Evo-Stik Premier, before moving to Australia, when signing for Shepparton United.
Louis has also represented Marine and Warrington Town.
We welcome him to The Millbank Linnets Stadium and hope Louis' stay with the club is enjoyable and successful.
10 Jan 2018 : Runcorn lose to Crewe Alexandra FC 0-2
Runcorn lost to Crewe Alexandra FC in the Cheshire Senior Cup - First Round at The Millbank Linnets Stadium with a score of 0-2. Crewe Alexandra FC scored in the 5th minute. Crewe Alexandra FC increased their lead in the 39th minute. Match Report
