15 Sep 2017 : Adam Morning signs for Runcorn Linnets
Runcorn Linnets are delighted to announce the capture of Adam Morning from Evo-Stik League side Colne.
A 30-year-old attacking midfield player or striker, Adam was a graduate of the Manchester City youth team.
He later joined Oldham Athletic before moving into non-league football.
Adam has gained extensive experience at clubs on both sides of the Pennines, including Bradford Park Avenue, Halifax Town, Salford City, Ashton United and Witton Albion.
He has also had a stint playing in Australia.
We'd like to welcome Adam to the Millbank Linnets Stadium and trust he will enjoy his stay.
In other news, Chris Lawton and Matt Holmes have today completed moves to Northwich Vics.
14 Sep 2017 : Linnets agree transfer of Matt Holmes
Runcorn Linnets have paved the way for Matt Holmes to leave The Millbank Linnets Stadium.
The paperwork for the transfer of goalkeeper Holmes has now been completed at our end, along with that for centre back Chris Lawton, whose departure was announced earlier in the week.
It is now a matter of the players and other parties to complete the transfers and registrations.
Both players have been good servants to the club and deserve the chance of regular football elsewhere. Best wishes to both.
13 Sep 2017 : Gary Grier leaves Linnets for Atherton LR
Changes to Michael Ellison's squad continue with midfielder Gary Grier moving on.
After joining us on dual forms from Marine in pre-season, Gary's Hallmark Security League registration has been transferred to Atherton LR.
We wish him well.
11 Sep 2017 : Chris Lawton on the move
Experienced defender Chris Lawton is looking for a club after being released by Runcorn Linnets.
Lawty has had just one half of football this season but feels he still has something to offer on the field and wants more game time before concentrating fully on a coaching career.
He leaves with the blessing of all at The Millbank Linnets Stadium.
We are sure that Chris will quickly get himself fixed up and thank him for everything he has done for the Linnets while wishing him well in his future endeavours.
06 Sep 2017 : Welcome to our latest signing Sam Fitton
We'd like to officially welcome Sam Fitton to Runcorn Linnets.
Sam is a midfield player who has joined us from Padiham, although he didn't play for the Storks in Saturday's game at The Millbank.
The registration went through in time for Sam to join the squad and be named on the bench for last night's 5-1 victory at City of Liverpool.
Although he didn't make it on to the field, he will no doubt have enjoyed what he watched.
Sam made three appearances for Padiham this season. He had previously been on the books of Macclesfield Town and Hyde United.
