25 Mar 2017 : Runcorn beat Bootle 1-2
Runcorn beat Bootle in the Hallmark Security League Premier Division at Delta Taxis Stadium with a score of 1-2. Shanley sent off in 27th minute. Bootle scored in the 80th minute. Michael Simpson equalised in the 86th minute following a cracking shot from inside the 6 yard box. Danny McKenna scored for the Linnets following a brilliant free-kick from just outside the area in added time of the second half. Match Report
22 Mar 2017 : Reusch Cup final at The Millbank Linnets Stadium 'will probably be all ticket'
The Hallmark Security League has selected The Millbank Linnets Stadium as venue for one of its end-of-season cup finals.
Runcorn Linnets are delighted that the club is to host The Reusch First Division Challenge Cup final between City of Liverpool and Sandbach United on Monday 1st May 2017, kick off 3.00pm.
A League spokesperson said: "Please note that it is likely the match will be all ticket and limited to 1200 spectators. Further details on ticket sales will be issued in due course.
Admission charges will be:
Seated Stand: £8.00
Ground: £6.00
Concessions: (Over 65s) £4.00
Children under 12: £2.00 (MUST be accompanied by an adult)
21 Mar 2017 : Date and venue set for Linnets Under 15s team's apperance in County final
Runcorn Linnets Under 15s Yellow's meeting with Dukinfield Youth U15s Green in the Cheshire County FA Junior Cup final has been arranged for Sunday, April 23rd.
The tie will be played at Heswall FC, Wirral, wth a 1.30pm kick off.
20 Mar 2017 : '80s Night raises almost £1,000 for club funds
An '80s Party Night in aid of Runcorn Linnets at the Bridgewater Function Rooms in Canal Street on Saturday was a resounding success.
Ticket sales and fundraising generated a final total of £972 for club funds.
Our thanks go to Alan and Wendy Brown from AJ's Disco for organising the function on behalf of Runcorn Linnets, management and staff of Bridgewater Function Rooms for their hospitality and everyone who through their attendance contributed to a very enjoyable and worthwhile event.
19 Mar 2017 : Spot-on Runcorn Linnets Ladies await Challenge Cup final opponents
Runcorn Linnets Ladies must wait a week to learn who they will face in the final of the Cheshire Women's League Challenge Cup.
While Linnets Ladies were scoring a dramatic penalty shootout victory over Witton Albion Women, the other semi-final between Wallasey Wanderers Ladies and Crewe Alexandra Ladies was postponed. It has been rescheduled for next Sunday.
John Pickering's team, aiming to repeat last season's triumph in the same competition, had fallen behind in the 87th minute but showed strength of character to pull level in the 90th. There was no further scoring in extra-time but Linnets won 4-3 on penalties.
Striker Megan Pickering achieved a major landmark in her Runcorn Linnets career with her 100th goal for the club,
Well done to Megan and all the Linnets Ladies management and players on reaching the final.
