Runcorn drew with New Mills in the Hallmark Security League Premier Division at Church Lane with a score of 2-2. Paul Shanley put the Linnets ahead in the 11th minute with a controlled tap from inside the 6 yard box. New Mills #8 sent off for second yellow offence in 43rd minute. Michael Simpson increased the Linnets' lead following a fantastic strike from just inside the area in the 51st minute. New Mills #3 off with a straight red from a tackle on Danny O'Brien. New Mills closed the gap in the 64th minute from a penalty. New Mills equalised in the 68th minute. Mucca sent off with a straight red in 72nd. Lawton off for second yellow in added time. A busy month of transfer activity at The Millbank Linnets Stadium has continued with the departure of full back Jay Roberts to Litherland REMYCA of The Hallmark Security League Division One.
Jay leaves with our thanks and very best wishes for the future.

Linnets manager Michael Ellison has further strengthened his defensive options with the signing of Tom Hardwick.
Experienced former Warrington Town centre back Tom returns to the club after a spell at Colwyn Bay in the Evo-Stik League.

Runcorn beat Barnoldswick Town in the Hallmark Security League Premier Division at The Millbank Linnets Stadium with a score of 2-0. Adam Wade put the Linnets ahead following a powerful strike from inside the 6 yard box in the 6th minute. Mark Houghton increased the Linnets' lead in the 36th minute following a cheeky header from inside the 6 yard box after lobbing the keeper. Hickey sent off in 62nd minute. Match Report
18 Jan 2017 : Freddie Potter returns to Runcorn Linnets
RUNCORN Linnets have re-signed Freddie Potter after his release by Hallmark Security League Premier Division neighbours, AFC Liverpool.
The deal was completed on Tuesday evening with the striker saying: "I'm made up. It has been a tough few months. I left AFC in November. In my heart and in my head, I knew where I wanted to be.
"I contacted Ello just after Christmas and New Year and he has welcomed me back with open arms."
Manager Michael Ellison said of the centre forward's return to the Millbank Linnets Stadium: "We all know what he brings to the club. Hopefully he can bring some goals.
"I think he's got the bit between his teeth. It's nice to see him back."
In his first spell with the club, Freddie scored 30 goals in 55 appearances, including six as a sub.
