01 Oct 2016 : Runcorn beat Daisy Hill 4-2
Runcorn beat Daisy Hill in the The Macron Cup at The Millbank Linnets Stadium with a score of 4-2. Steve Foster scored for the Linnets in the 26th minute with a coolly taken tap from inside the 6 yard box that left the 'keeper planted. Kyle Hamid increased the Linnets' lead following a brilliant free-kick from just outside the area that flew into the top right corner in the 38th minute. Taylor Kennerley extended our lead in added time of the first half following a fantastic finish from just inside the area despite the 'keeper getting something on it. Steve Foster put us four goals clear with a cheeky tap from inside the 6 yard box despite the 'keeper getting something on it in the 46th minute. Daisy Hill fought back in the 52nd minute. Daisy Hill pulled one back in the 68th minute. Match Report
26 Sep 2016 : It's South Shields away in The Buildbase FA Vase
Runcorn Linnets face a trip to the North East for our opening fixture in The Buildbase FA Vase this season.
The draw at Wembley resulted in an away tie against South Shields on Saturday, October 22nd.
South Shields are second in the Ebac Northern League Division One, three points behind leaders North Shields.
24 Sep 2016 : Runcorn beat Atherton Collieries 2-0
Runcorn beat Atherton Collieries in the Hallmark Security League Premier Division at The Millbank Linnets Stadium with a score of 2-0. Mark Houghton put the Linnets ahead in the 32nd minute with a well-placed tap from inside the 6 yard box. Mark Houghton increased the Linnets' lead in the 45th minute from a lob that went straight over the 'keeper. Danny O'Brien sent off, apparently for a kick, but it wasn't obvious. Chris Lawton sent off for a second yellow offence. Match Report
23 Sep 2016 : New signing Kristian Holt arrives from Atherton Colls
Runcorn Linnets have completed the signing of Kristian Holt and the attacking midfielder is eligible to make his debut tomorrow against former club, Atherton Collieries.
Kris, 22, left Alder House at the end of August after just over two years.
He had been influential in Colls gaining promotion to the Premier Division of the North West Counties League at the end of 2014-15 and their success last season as League Challenge Cup winners.
We welcome Kris to The Millbank Linnets Stadium and wish him well for his stay.

Runcorn beat Barnoldswick Town in the Hallmark Security League Premier Division at Greenberfield Lane with a score of 0-2. Kyle Hamid scored for the Linnets with a brilliant strike from just inside the area in the 29th minute. Mark Houghton increased the Linnets' lead in the 67th minute with a cheeky overhead kick from inside the area. Match Report
