20 Aug 2016 : Runcorn lose to Runcorn Town 3-1
Runcorn lost to Runcorn Town in the League at Pavilions with a score of 3-1. Runcorn Town went ahead in the 10th minute. Town awarded a penalty in 29th. Runcorn Town increased their lead in the 30th minute. Steve Foster closed the gap in the 65th minute following a coolly taken volley from inside the area. 18 Aug 2016 : Early-season recruitment continues as seasoned duo sign
Runcorn Linnets have continued to strengthen in the opening days of the season - the club having tonight completed the double signing of highly-experienced players at either end of the field.
Striker Steve Foster has joined from Evo-Stik League Division One North outfit, Ramsbottom United while Simon Woodford arrives from Curzon Ashton of National League North.
Simon, who can operate at right back or in central defence, was in his fifth season at Curzon and scored the goal which secured their promotion from the Evo-Stik League Premier Division as 2014-15 play-off winners.
Veteran marksman Steve is a North West non-league legend - having served a number of clubs, including Radcliffe Borough. Mossley, Warrington Town (he was at Cantilever Park when they defeated League Two's Exeter City in the FA Cup in November 2014). He has also had a spell at AFC Telford United.
We extend the customary warm welcome to Simon and Steve and hope they enjoy their stay at the Millbank Linnets Stadium.

Runcorn lost to Winsford United in the Hallmark Security Premier League at The Millbank Linnets Stadium with a score of 0-2. Winsford hit the woodwork from a disputed penalty in the 36th minute. Runcorn Linnets have this evening signed goalkeeper Danny Lever.
Danny is already familiar to our fans as he was previously with Runcorn Town and we welcome him to The Millbank while wishing him every success at the club.

Runcorn drew with West Didsbury & Chorlton in the Hallmark Security Premier League at The Millbank Linnets Stadium with a score of 2-2. West Didsbury & Chorlton scored in the 55th minute. Paul Shanley equalised from a fantastic effort after dribbling around the 'keeper in the 57th minute. West Didsbury & Chorlton went ahead in the 67th minute.
