13 Aug 2016 : Donaldson signs as Collins returns

The club offers a warm welcome to two more new signings as our management team continues to rebuild the squad.

Fans will be pleased to see Allan Collins back in Linnets colours, the striker rejoining after recovering from the collar bone injury sustained in the match at 1874 Northwich early last season.

Also arriving is Tony Donaldson, a young midfielder who is also on the books of Skelmersdale United.

12 Aug 2016 : Incident at Hemsworth FA Cup Match

Following an incident of unacceptable behaviour by a Runcorn Linnets supporter at the FA Cup tie against Hemsworth MW on 6th August, the club has prepared a report of its investigations and recommendations regarding sanctions, and has forwarded it to the League and FA. Unless instructed or advised to do so by those authorities, the Club does not intend to comment any further on the incident.

A new "Fans Liaison Group" will be set up to update and implement the Code of Conduct to try and ensure that an incident of this nature will never happen again.

10 Aug 2016 : Cusani wings in to join Linnets

Runcorn Linnets have brought in winger Marcus Cusani with Saturday's first Hallmark Security League game of the season fast approaching for the club.

The new signing joins on a dual registration from Prescot Cables and we extend him a warm welcome to The Millbank Linnets Stadium.

06 Aug 2016 : Runcorn lose to Hemsworth MW 2-1

Runcorn lost to Hemsworth MW in the FA Cup - Extra preliminary round at MDC Sports Stadium with a score of 2-1. Hemsworth MW went ahead from close range in the 8th minute. Hemsworth MW increased their lead in the 17th minute. Adam Wade closed the gap in the 85th minute following a powerful shot from just inside the area that almost burst the net.

04 Aug 2016 : Ello makes more signings ahead of first competitive match on Saturday

Michael Ellison has made a number of signings ahead of this weekend's match against Hemsworth Miners Welfare in the FA Cup. They include 'keeper Adam Christopher, midfielders Carl Bishop, and Paul Reddy, plus forwards Bevan Burey, and Daniel McKenna. We also see the welcome return of ex-Linnet Chris Lawton. All the players signed forms this evening and their registrations are being processed, hopefully in time to make the deadline for Saturday's game.
