12 Jun 2016 : Dean Porter picks up Goalkeeper of the Year accolade

Many congratulations to Dean Porter who was last night named Premier Division Goalkeeper of the Year at the North West Counties League's annual dinner in Blackpool.

02 Jun 2016 : Linnets fans in 3rd gear as gun metal kit is launched in Macron club shop

Macronstore Cheshire have now begun taking orders for our non-playing 3rd shirt.

A consignment of gun metal and neon yellow jerseys is due to arrive from Italy on June 6th and they will be branded with Runcorn Linnets' 10th anniversary badge and the name of our club sponsor, Millbank.

Introduced for sale by popular demand, the new 3rd shirt was the original choice for the club's new 2nd kit but had to be withdawn because the FA considered it a colour clash with the match officials' black strip. It will, therefore, not be worn by our teams and will be unique to our fans.

The 3rd kit can be ordered through our Macron club shop which is accessible via the drop down menu to the left of the home page on our website. Click on commercial and then merchandise.

Supporters are advised that the Italian-made shirts are smaller than those available in the UK and the general advice from Macron is to choose one size bigger than normal.

Fans can also visit Macronstore Cheshire in Beeston Court, Manor Park, Runcorn, WA7 1SS to check sizing - telephone 01928 798622.

26 May 2016 : John Pickering appointed manager of Runcorn Linnets Ladies

JOHN Pickering has been named as manager of Runcorn Linnets Ladies in succession to Julie Makin, who stepped down for family reasons after leading the team to a memorable Cheshire Women's League title and Challenge Cup double in 2015-16.

John has been, as team coach, another key influence on the establishment of Ladies football at The Millbank Linnets Stadium and the successes of the season just ended. He also has experience of coaching at Everton Ladies and Chester City Ladies.

His appointment was ratified by the Trust Board, who wished John every success in his new role while thanking and congratulating Julie.

John Pickering said: "Stepping up is a big challenge for me personally, especially following on from Julie, a manger who won the double last season.

"However, I believe in the players' ability, as well as my own, and look forward to bringing more silverware over the coming seasons for Runcorn Linnets."
