Mark Houghton put the Linnets ahead in the 20th minute following a clean strike from the edge of the area. Kyle Hamid increased the Linnets' lead with a cracking strike from a free-kick just outside the area in the 37th minute. Kyle Hamid extended our lead with a great finish from inside the area in the 40th minute. AFC Blackpool pulled one back in added time of the first half from the penalty spot. Michael Ellison (yes, Ello) extended our lead with a fantastic goal from 40 yards out in the 72nd minute. Freddie Potter put us four goals clear in the 74th minute following a firm header from inside the 6 yard box.
