Runcorn beat Silsden in the North West Counties Premier League at Keighley Road with a score of 1-3. Michael White scored for the Linnets in the 44th minute with a header from a corner. Freddie Potter increased the Linnets' lead with a diving header from a free-kick just outside the area in the 51st minute. Freddie Potter extended our lead with an awesome strike from just outside the area despite the 'keeper getting something on it in the 71st minute. Silsden pulled one back in the 73rd minute.

Runcorn Linnets are pleased to announce the signing of 20-year-old goalkeeper Ryan Neild and we welcome him to The Millbank Linnets Stadium.

Ryan played against us in last season's North West Counties League game at AFC Liverpool, saving a penalty on what was his debut appearance.

He subsequently signed for Witton Albion.

The Linnets have tonight released left full-back James Buckley, who hadn't featured in the first-team squad since very early in the season.

James, whose six Runcorn appearances included three as a substitute, is expected to sign for fellow North West Counties League Premier Division side, Bootle and we wish him well for the future.
