Antony Hickey equalised from a fantastic poke from inside the 6 yard box in the 31st minute. Kyle Hamid scored for the Linnets in the 77th minute with a cracking shot that was unstoppable. Ryan Cox increased the Linnets' lead from an unstoppable effort that flew into the bottom left corner in the 87th minute.

Runcorn Linnets Ladies maintained their impressive season by marching to a 7-3 victory at AFC Stockport in the Cheshire Women's League Challenge Cup, helped by five goals from Marcia Jones-Sacharewicz. The other scorers this afternoon were Chelsea Penny and Tempany Carlson.

Ryan Cox scored on his debut for the Linnets in the 19th minute following a well-placed strike from inside the 6 yard box. AFC Darwen equalised in the 22nd minute. Ryan Cox scored for the Linnets in the 63rd minute with a great shot from inside the 6 yard box. Kurt Sherlock increased the Linnets' lead following a world class strike from just outside the area that was unstoppable in the 76th minute.

Runcorn Linnets have completed the signings from AFC Liverpool of prolific strikers Ryan Cox and Steve Jones.

Ryan is the NWCL Premier Division's leading scorer with 24 goals in all competitions this season. During his time with AFC, he hit 77 goals in just 111 appearances.

Steve has likewise enjoyed a remarkable strike rate in three spells with the now Crosby-based club, having managed 80 goals in his 140 outings for them.
