09 Feb 2016 : Deano is Goalkeeper of the Month again

Many congratulations to our goalkeeper Dean Porter, who has won the North West Counties League Premier Division's Goalkeeper of the Month award for a second successive time.

Deano played in all four of Linnets games in January, and only conceded one league goal in the three league games played. In between, Linnets lost 5-1 to high flying Evo-Stik North favourites Northwich Victoria, although Dean was not to blame in any way for that defeat, as the goals were more to do with defensive lapses.

Well done again, Deano!

23 Jan 2016 : Hopeful news on Matt Atherton injury

Matt Atherton has been to hospital after injury forced his substitution in the first half of today's victory at Cammell Laird 1907. Although the foot is heavily swollen, an X-ray showed no fracture.

We wish Matt a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing him back in a Linnets shirt as soon as possible.
