14 Dec 2015 : Richie Mottram released by Runcorn Linnets to join Barnton
The club has this evening agreed to release long-serving goalkeeper Richie Mottram so that he can join Barnton in the North West Counties League's Division One.
Richie has always been a hugely popular player and personality at The Millbank Linnets Stadium and was the Supporters' Club player of the year in 2014-15. However, he has been unable to win back his place in the side since the arrival earlier in the season of Dean Porter.
We thank Richie most sincerely for the superb service he has given to his hometown club and wish him well with his new team, where of course he is reunited with several former Linnets including Kev Towey and Michael Burke.
