The Cup Draw took place at the League AGM, and we have been drawn against Northwich Flixton Villa or Cammell Lairds 1907 away on 25th October.

Antony Hickey has left the Linnets to take up a contract position with Warrington Town.

The club is delighted to have been voted a county winner in the FA Community Awards 2014, presented by McDonald's.

As Cheshire's choice in the FA Charter Standard Club of the Year category, Runcorn Linnets will now be considered for the North West prize, along with the other county winners in our region.

The NW winners in turn go forward to the National Awards, which are part of the FA Community Shield festivities at Wembley Stadium in August.

On hearing of the Cheshire award, Lynn Johnston, club secretary of Runcorn Linnets said: "This is an award which we can all be truly proud of. Well done to us as a club - and that includes everyone."

Linnets Manager Joey Dunn has made a change to his back room staff by appointing ex-Vauxhall Motors FC Physio, Carl Rutter. Carl replaces Jenny Leyland MBE, and everybody at the club like to thank Jenny for the time and effort she has put in over the years that she has been with the club. Jenny was instrumental in the club getting its first defibrillator, and the welfare of the players was always her top priority. We all wish her well for the future.
