Runcorn drew with Maine Road in the North West Counties Premier League at The Millbank Linnets Stadium with a score of 2-2. Kevin Towey put the Linnets ahead after a scramble in front of goal in the 14th minute. Maine Road equalised in the 88th minute. Kyle Hamid scored for the Linnets by throwing himself at the ball in added time of the second half. Maine Road equalised in added time of the second half. Match Report Pictures
06 Nov 2013 : Runcorn beat Alsager Town 2-3
Runcorn beat Alsager Town in the Cheshire Senior Cup - Preliminary Round at Town Ground with a score of 2-3. Alsager Town scored in the 2nd minute. Alsager Town increased their lead in the 18th minute. Gavin Salmon closed the gap with a header in the 27th minute. Matty Atherton equalised from the penalty spot in the 51st minute. 04 Nov 2013 : Letter from the Founder of the Astro Brain Tumour Fund
The club has received a letter from Katie Sheen, the Founder of the Astro Brain Tumour Fund which is the organisation that the fund raising charity match was played for on Sunday.
Thank you so much for such an enjoyable event yesterday; the whole day was fantastically well organised, with a wonderful atmosphere that was clearly valued by Karan and her family who of course were the inspiration for the day. Therefore not only did the event raise a lot of money, but I am sure it raised a lot of people's spirits as well.
The ground looked fantastic and the weather was obviously supporting us all too, as not only did the rain clear up but we even had a rainbow over the trees at one point! Thank you so much for allowing Phil and I to sit with you under cover, and of course for your kind hospitality and warm welcome throughout the day.
I would also like to express my admiration with regard to how many well known & well respected players that you and the organising team were able to welcome as participants in the day. To have raised the profile of Astro Brain Tumour Fund amongst so many people (both players & supporters) is hugely appreciated, and I am sure will help us to achieve our goal of finding a cure for brain cancer by encouraging further fundraising in the future. I can assure you that because all of us here at the charity are volunteers, every penny will be spent wisely on key research projects at leading neuro-oncology centres throughout the UK, including your local Walton Centre.
If you could possibly also pass on our thanks to all of the volunteers who made the day so successful, we would appreciate it. Sincere thanks once again, and very best wishes

Runcorn beat Congleton Town in the North West Counties Premier League at Booth Street with a score of 0-4. Linnets benefit from Congleton Town own goal in the 1st minute. Joe Fielding injured in 17th minute and had to be stretchered off. Mark Houghton increased the Linnets' lead from inside the penalty area in the 42nd minute. Mark Houghton extended our lead with a close range shot in the 51st minute. Matty Atherton put us four goals clear with a header from a corner in the 66th minute. Match Report
