Congratulations to Runcorn Linnets Ladies on their 2-1 win in their first league game versus Heswall Ladies.

07 Sep 2013 : Ross McDowell receives stitches for head injury

Ross McDowell was taken to hospital today after sustaining a head injury at the Irlam FA Vase match. Thankfully, he has no broken bones, and has had his cut treated with stitches and discharged home. There was no concussion he didn't lose consciousness at any point, and has full memory of everything, so thankfully it is a straightforward cut.

Runcorn beat Irlam in the FA Vase - First Round Qualifying at Silver Street with a score of 0-3. Gavin Salmon scored for the Linnets with a fantastic strike in the 10th minute. Ross substituted with a gash to the head in 24th. Chris Lomax scored in the 53rd. Lee Thompson extended our lead with a close range shot in the 86th minute.
