Runcorn lost to Glossop North End in the North West Counties Premier League at The Millbank Linnets Stadium with a score of 0-1. Glossop North End went ahead in the 50th minute.

The Trust Board of Runcorn Linnets FC today announces that the club is planning a permanent memorial to George Worrall at the Millbank Linnets Stadium.

George, who died in February, was former reserve team chairman, long-serving secretary and club president of Runcorn AFC. His direct involvement with the Linnets dated back to the 1970s.

We would welcome suggestions from members and fans as to the best way of honouring George. 

It is hoped the memorial will be in place for the start of next season and George's family will be invited to the unveiling.

In advance of this, we will be holding a minute’s applause in recognition of George’s long and dedicated club service before Saturday’s final home match of the season against Glossop North End.

Runcorn lost to AFC Liverpool in the North West Counties Premier League at Valerie Park with a score of 2-0. AFC Liverpool scored in the 3rd minute. AFC Liverpool increased their lead in the 25th minute.

Runcorn beat Wigan Robin Park in the North West Counties Premier League at The Millbank Linnets Stadium with a score of 3-0. Ross McDowell put the Linnets ahead with a cheeky tap in the 24th minute. Martin Crowder increased the Linnets' lead with a fantastic strike in the 43rd minute. Matty Atherton extended our lead from inside the 6 yard box in the 61st minute.

Runcorn beat Stone Dominoes in the North West Counties Premier League at Motiva Park with a score of 1-3. Stone Dominoes went ahead in the 9th minute. Adam Wade equalised with a volley in the 19th minute. Gavin Salmon scored for the Linnets from the penalty spot in the 24th minute. Mark Houghton increased the Linnets' lead from inside the 6 yard box in the 41st minute.
