Sean Pearson has left the club, and has signed for Clitheroe. We'd like to wish Sean the best of luck at his new club.

30 Nov 2012 : Joey Dunn appointed as Caretaker Manager

Runcorn Linnets have today appointed Joey Dunn as caretaker manager.

Joey will be well known to Linnets fans and brings with him a wealth of experience of the non-league scene in the North West, having managed at Warrington Town and more recently as assistant manager at Stockport Sports. Club Chairman Derek Greenwood said "We are most pleased to have Joey on board and look forward to working with him".

29 Nov 2012 : Runcorn Linnets accept Manager's resignation

Runcorn Linnets has this evening accepted the resignation of Manager, Paul McNally.

In tendering his resignation, Paul McNally said "Due to numerous issues outside of football I cannot commit to the necessary time required to maintain the development of the team, and push the club further forward and up the non-league ladder. As a result I do not feel that either party are progressing and maybe a fresh approach is needed to reignite the team and results.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all people at the club for their tremendous support and enthusiasm received over the past two years. Too many people to thank by name but I am sure they all know to whom I refer.

"It has been a honour to have been involved at Runcorn and a privilege to serve the club as Player, Captain and Manager and I will always support the club in the future."

Linnets chairman, Derek Greenwood said "On behalf of the club, I would like to thank Paul for the effort and professionalism that he has maintained throughout his tenure at the Millbank Linnets Stadium."

Derek added, "Everyone involved at the club has been impressed with Paul's integrity and dedication, and we would all like to wish him and his family the very best for the future. They are always very welcome at the club."

A further statement will be made in due course.

27 Nov 2012 : Runcorn lose to Winsford United 1-3

Runcorn lost to Winsford United in the North West Counties Premier League at The Millbank Linnets Stadium with a score of 1-3. Winsford United scored in the 2nd minute. Winsford United increased their lead in the 66th minute. Winsford United extended their lead in the 70th minute. Martin Crowder pulled one back with a fantastic strike in the 89th minute.
