Runcorn drew with Witton Albion in the Pre-season Warm Up at The Millbank Linnets Stadium with a score of 1-1. Witton Albion went ahead in the 7th minute. Rob Whyte equalised with a header in the 24th minute.

Runcorn beat Atherton Collieries in the Pre-season Warm Up at The Millbank Linnets Stadium with a score of 3-2. Linnets ahead in the 6th minute. Rob Whyte increased the Linnets' lead with a header in the 29th minute. Tommy Turner extended our lead in the 31st minute. Atherton Collieries pulled one back in the 46th minute. Atherton Collieries closed the gap in the 61st minute.

The Linnets will travel to Pontefract on August 11th to face Hemsworth MW in the Extra Preliminary Round of the FA Cup. Hemsworth play in Division 1 of the Northern Counties East League. Should we progress to the Preliminary Round, then we'll face another away tie, this time against Evostick outfit Salford City.

As pre-season training starts, Macca has started assembling his back-room staff for the upcoming campaign. Chris Fitzsimmons fills the vacant Assistant Manager role, and Gareth Burke, along with player Neil Black, take on coaching responsibilities.

Congratulations to the Reserve Team who, thanks to a Ryan Smith goal in the 33rd minute, beat Heswall Reserves to win the West Cheshire Haworth & Gallagher Bowl. Well done to Jay and the lads!
