Linnets' goalkeeper, Richie Mottram, has been released to sign for Atherton L.R. for a temporary spell. League rules don't permit "loan" arrangements with non-contract players, so the only option for Richie to help out ex-Linnet Phil Priestley's team, and gain some match fitness, was to be released from the club. The rules now state that has to wait at least 14 days before he can return. Hopefully, by that time, he'll have had a few games under his belt, and will be back to full fitness after his spell of injury.
