Runcorn beat Ashton Athletic in the North West Counties Premier League at Brocstedes Park with a score of 1-2. Ashton ahead in 69th. Sean Pearson equalised from the penalty spot in 81st, and put the Linnets ahead a minute later.

Just a quick note of thanks to Reserve 'Keeper and local lad Neal "Nidge" Percival who with a phone call late last week was happy to step up to the first team to take on the number 1 shirt with both Richie Mottram and Damien Eastham out injured. Everybody at the club would like to thank Nidge, and congratulate him on his performance!

Lewis Savva was substituted today following an incident after which he was coughing blood. Paramedics were called, and an ambulance followed. Everybody will be happy to hear that Lewis as back at home, and has a number of burst blood vessels in his chest, and although he's expected to suffer symptoms for the next few days, he's expected to make a full recovery soon.
