Staveley took the lead in the 17th minute, and with Runcorn unable to answer, that's the scoreline they took into the laf-time break. Staveley came out sharp, and doubled their tally just a couple of minutes into the second half. The Linnets then stepped up a gear for 5 minutes with goals from Balazs in the 55th, Woods in the 56th, and a beautifully struck dipping shot from Simon Howard in the 60th minute gave the home side the lead for the first time in the match. Runcorn eased off the gas, and in the 89th minute Staveley equalised forcing extra time. Rio Quinlivan-Grech in the 1st minute of extra time carved his way past 3 men, and then the keeper to clinch vitory for the Linnets. Staveley went down to 10 men minutes later after the scorer of their third goal, who has received a yellow card for taking his shirt off in celebration, was shown a second yellow for diving in the area.
