Runcorn lost to Formby in the Vodkat Premier League at Altcar Road with a score of 1-0. After a dogged performance from both teams, Formby went ahead in the 85th minute, and despite piling on the pressure for the last 5 minutes, Runcorn were unable to find the equaliser that could possibly have been a fairer result.

Runcorn beat Nelson in the Vodkat Premier League at Victoria Park with a score of 0-2. Paul Crewe opened the tally in the 11th, with Steve Cunningham securing the victory in the 42nd minute with a lovely chip over a Nelson defender, followed by a half-volley into the back of the net. Classic.

Richard Knowles is fundraising for Cancer Research by going to every round of the FA Cup, following the winner to the next round.

As his local team, he started out with the Linnets on Saturday and saw us beat AFC Emley, and so will be following us to Bamber Bridge on the 29th August.
