Runcorn looking stronger, but Nelson dangerous on the break. Nelson ahead in 50th. Stubberfield equalised 3 mins later. Nelson keeper injured and sub'd in 60th. Crewe in 82nd, 87th and 88th.

It is with regret that we have to announce that Jon Urquhart has resigned from the Board due to health reasons. We wish Jon well, and thank him for all his efforts since his election in 2007.

01 Mar 2009 : Michael Young is presented with Player of the Month award

Michael Young was awarded the Vodkat League Premier Division Player of the Month for January, and is pictured here receiving his bottle of Vodkat vodka and football boots from League Chairman, Dave Tomlinson.

28 Feb 2009 : Runcorn beat Maine Road 0-1

In a game where for the majority of the play, both teams seemed pretty evenly matched with neither team able to take their chances, it was an 85th minute from Rob Whyte that clinched it for the Linnets. However, the match was marred at the end by two Linnets' dismissals, both of which were for double-yellow offences that the Runcorn faithful found hard to stomach, as was the case with a number of the referee's decisions throughout the match. Paul Crewe sent was off in the 88th minute, and Rob Whyte was sent off in the 90th.
