02 Feb 2009 : Alan Glover and Ged Courtney head to Welsh League

Team Coach and left back, Alan Glover, and forward, Ged Courtney have both left the club to go and play in the Welsh League. The club would like to thank them for their efforts, and wish them well at their new clubs.

31 Jan 2009 : Runcorn beat Winsford United 1-2

Winsford ahead in 6th minute. Gary Brown equalised in 37th. Paul Crewe put Linnets ahead in 75th.

30 Jan 2009 : Tom Baker leaves Linnets

The "Dr Who" chants will be a thing of the past, as Tom Baker leaves the Linnets to go and play in the Welsh league. Good luck Tom.

27 Jan 2009 : Runcorn draw with Squires Gate 2-2

It was a lively start to an entertaining match in rainy Blackpool. Michael Young put Linnets ahead in 39th minute and they held the lead into the break. Squires Gate came out for the second half in a robust mood, and equalised in the 47th minute from the penalty spot, and then went ahead in the 66th minute. Danny Stubberfield equalised for the Linnets in 77th. The Runcorn faithful thought that Paul Crewe had clinched the winner with what was to be the last competitive touch of the game, but the referee judged that the Squires Gate 'keeper had been fouled, and disallowed the goal.

The club are happy to announce the signing of Neil Murphy from Kendal Town. Neil is a defender who can play in either of the full-back positions, and everybody at the club would like to welcome him.
