The contact with Kim has been a regular one, and has now resulted in the Linnets forming a link of friendship with Te Awamutu FC, and the New Zealand club was kind enough to sponsor a match ball last season for the Linnets, as a sign of the growing links between the two organisations. Runcorn have signed Tom Baker from Connahs Quay. He is a cultured midfield holding player with an eye for goal and a powerful shot. We'd like to welcome him to the club. Let the Dr Who/Little Britain jokes commence...

An 82nd minute goal from AFC Fylde netted them all three points. Runcorn had played well throughout against a strong home side, and it was looking as though the end result was to be a goalless draw, until the Fylde shot went in off the post.

It's been confirmed today that Brian Walsh has broken a metatarsal in the Cheshire Senior Cup match against Winsford. We all wish him a speedy recovery.

Fears are mounting that Brian Walsh could join Steve Cunningham, Tom Boden, and Jay Edwards on the bench with injury as it looks as though he may have broken a metatarsal in his right foot in the Cheshire Senior Cup clash against Winsford Utd on Tuesday 23rd September.
