Runcorn Linnets secure backing for Bar and Function Rooms at New Ground

Runcorn Linnets are happy to announce that they have secured the support of Daniel Thwaites PLC for the Bar and Function Room facilities of the Clubhouse/Community Centre to be built as part of their new stadium on the Runcorn Campus site of Riverside College. Daniel Thwaites is a Lancashire Brewer and Pub Retailer based in Blackburn with over 200 years of brewing experience. They have over 400 pubs all over the North of England and North Wales, and also has a hotel division, Shire Hotels, that operates 7 hotels throughout England.

Richard Mills, Direct Sales Manager of Daniel Thwaites PLC, was impressed by the plans that the club has for their new facility in their bid to “Return to Runcorn”, and was happy to recommend that Daniel Thwaites give their support to it. He said “It looks like a very exciting project, and I’m glad if Thwaites can help to make it happen that much sooner.”

Glyn Davies, who brokered the deal along with fellow Linnets Board member, David Dutton, said “Another good news story for the club, and for the fans, as we approach the start of the season. I am now looking forward to working on the next phase of this project alongside David as we hunt down a source for the furniture and the carpeting for the new facility.”
