Damien Morrison has followed Steve Wilkes from Padiham, and signed for Runcorn Linnets. The centre midfielder was Captain at Padiham under Steve.

Ramsbottom hadn't won a match since November, and they beat the Linnets convincingly with a 4-0 win. The fan's claims of poor officiating may be a contributary factor, but doesn't go close to explaining such a scoreline, and Steve Wilkes will now be more than aware that there is a job to do to change Runcorn's form.

One of the changes that new manager, Steve Wilkes, has introduced is a new emphasis on training and fitness. Training is now held twice a week, with Tuesdays dedicated to fitness training utilising the excellent facilities at Runcorn's Fitness First.
