Due to a couple of silly mistakes, Runcorn found themselves 2-0 down a couple of minutes after half time. Goals in the 60th and 80th minues from the Linnets made it look as though extra time would be a real possibility. However, a baffling decision against Jay Edwards seemingly legal challenge, lead to a sequence of events that saw the hosts go 3-2 up with just seconds left on the clock.

With the birth of his child imminent, Ryan Wallace has decided to take some time off of football. The club would like to wish him well, and look forward to his return.

The signing of Vinnie Braine was completed this morning from Padiham and he is eligible for the Vodkat Challenge Cup game against Cheadle Town on Saturday 26th January.
