The club has issued a press release regarding the progress of negotiations with Halton College.

After further discussions between Runcorn Linnets FC and Riverside College Halton, the college Board of Governors gave their in principle approval on Thursday, November 1st, to commence with the production of a draft lease document for the use of college land, this of course is subject to full formal agreement of the lease terms and the acquisition of the necessary funding for the development. This is a significant step forward for the project, which will ultimately allow the Linnets use of the land at the college in order to build a new stadium back in the town of Runcorn.

The club would once again like to put on record its sincere thanks to the college authorities for their help in bringing the project to this stage and we look forward to a long working relationship with them.
