17 Apr 2006 : Runcorn lose to AFC Telford 0-7

Runcorn continued their poor run with a 0-7 defeat against AFC Telford.

Whilst it was obvious that many of the Telford fans were relishing the victory, we would like thank those Telford fans who had sympathy with the club's situation, and the offers of help that a number of them made. Special thanks to the Telford supporter who took the Linnets collection bucket around all the Telford supporters, and thanks to them for the generosity shown.

02 Apr 2006 : Fans Rally Round

The club has issued the following press release:

A meeting for fans was held after the match against Whitby on Saturday to rally support for next season. It is the intention of the club and its supporters to set up a Steering Group to aid the club in various aspects next season. The short term aim is, of course, to secure the future of the club for next season. Other targets will be to explore all options for a return to Runcorn in the medium term and to attract new investment and sponsorship to the club. The fans were most appreciative of the job done by manager Steve Carragher in the most difficult of circumstances and understood the need to rally round to help. Regular meetings are planned in the coming weeks to consider all the issues further and to work with all bodies concerned to move the club forward. Fans have been quick to offer support. If you can support us, either with offers of time or investment, please let us know. Contact us either at matches or through the club website at www.RuncornFCHalton.co.uk
