Runcorn were unable to repeat their winning form against Wakefield and Emley, despite a spirited performance in front of a tiny crowd on a fantastic looking pitch, losing 2-0.

Continuing their new-found form, Runcorn beat ground-sharing partner Prescot Cables with a convincing 5-1 victory. Goals came from Paul Scott, Daryl Allen, Lee Furlong and Sean Whalley, plus an own goal from the Prescot 'keeper who pushed the ball into his own net, rather than over the bar, as intended.

Runcorn finally won their first match of the season, much to the delight of the players, management and fans, with a 2-1 win over Wakefield & Emley.

The Wakefield & Emley match due to be played later in the season has been brought forward to the 24th September. Kick off is at 3:00pm at Belle Vue.

Following Telford's 1-1 draw in the FA Cup 1st Round Qualifier, their replay on Tuesday 13th September has been postponed.
