02 Apr 2005 : Runcorn lose to Redditch 1-0

A single Redditch goal after 12 minutes prevented Runcorn from picking up any valuable points from the match at the Valley Stadium. The leaves Runcorn one spot above the relegation zone but with Moor Green just one point below on 37, but with a game in hand.

31 Mar 2005 : Soley Brings In Three On Deadline Day

Transfer deadline day has brought three new players to Runcorn in Alessandro Percovich, Jason Van Blerk and Michael McGinn.

Alessandro is the first Italian player to sign for the Linnets and will be pushing to make the goalkeeping jersey his own for next season. Alessandro's previous club was Italian outfit AC Tiano, who play in the Provinciale Di Calcio league

Jason brings a host of football experience having played over 250 football league games for Millwall, Man City, West Brom, Stockport, Hull, Shrewsbury and Macclesfield. A solid central defender who will be a great asset for Runcorn, he has also received 27 Australia caps, scoring one goal.

Midfielder Michael has signed from local Sunday League side Vision Chasers, and is the brother of current left sided midfielder Matty McGinn. He will no doubt be pushing to break into the first team in the remaining games of the season

On the way out is Midfielder Scott Willis, who has been released from his contract.

29 Mar 2005 : Linnets Clinch Draw In Thriller

A debut goal 20 seconds from time by Mike Jack gave Runcorn a share of the spoils on Saturday in what was a thrilling encounter at Valerie Park. Jack's 25-yard shot in the third minute of stoppage time went in off the crossbar to make it 3-3 as the Linnets showed their fighting spirit to come from 2-0 and then 3-2 down.

27 Mar 2005 : Runcorn v Hucknall Switched To Sunday

Runcorn's home tie against Hucknall Town, which was due to be played on Saturday 16th April at Valerie Park, has been rearranged for Sunday the 17th April, 3:00pm kick-off. This is due to Prescot having a home tie with Spennymoor United on that day.

26 Mar 2005 : Runcorn lose to Stalybridge 1-0

Runcorn were pushed into the top relegation spot by previous occupiers Stalybridge Celtic in a hard fought match. Both teams had chances, but Stalybridge had the upper hand.

Barry Jones had to be substituted after receiving a blow to the face that left him bleeding and dazed.
