19 Mar 2005 : Last Gasp Lock Goal Gives Linnets All Three Points

A last minute strike by substitute James Lock gave Runcorn all three points against Bradford Park Avenue at the Halton Stadium. Robbie Moore had given the Linnets a second minute lead, and with the Linnets unable to turn possession into goals, it looked like Brian Greaves' 85th equaliser would be enough until Lock's late strike.

15 Mar 2005 : Runcorn To Play Bradford At Stadium

Runcorn FC Halton can confirm that Saturday’s Nationwide North game against Bradford Park Avenue will be played at their usual home ground of the Halton Stadium, Widnes.

This follows speculation in the local and national press as to where the game will be played.

15 Mar 2005 : Lancaster Game Rearranged

The Nationwide North game at Lancaster City, which was postponed earlier this month after Lancaster failed to field a team, has now been rearranged for Tuesday 12th April, with a kick off time of 7.45pm.

12 Mar 2005 : Nuneaton defeat Runcorn 3-0

Nuneaton showed Runcorn how to finish on Saturday as the Linnets slumped to a 3-0 loss that leaves them perilously close to the bottom three. Phil Denney could have had a first half hat-trick after three excellent chances inside the box, but he failed to get any power on any of them.

Gary Fitzpatrick's sending off in the 26th minute should have given Runcorn the advantage, but Nuneaton were ahead a minute later through Robert Oddy after the full back drilled a shot across goal into the far corner.

A free kick from Michael Love in the 56th minute eluded everyone to give Boro a two goal lead, then Runcorn were reduced to ten men after Phil McDiarmid picked up two bookings in the space of three minutes. Substitute Michael Frew made the game safe four minutes from time with a breakaway goal.
