27 Nov 2004 : Runcorn lose to Harrogate Town 1-0

A single Harrogate goal in the ninth minute ended the new management regime's unbeated league record. The first half saw Runcorn unable to keep posession against a strong Harrogate side. Runcorn looked the stronger in the second half, but were unable to capitalise on their chances, the best of which was a well struck attempt from Carl Rendell which was saved well by the Harrogate 'keeper.

Match Report

11 Nov 2004 : Lancaster match postponed

Runcorn FC Halton will be now be playing Harrogate Town in a Nationwide North game on Saturday 27th November 2004, kick off 3.00pm. This is in place of the previously advertised Lancaster City game as Lancaster will be in FA Trophy action on that day.

06 Nov 2004 : Injury Update

The club is going through a particularly bad injury situation at the moment and the management team feel it's important to try and keep the fans as informed as possible, and would also like to thank all of those who made the trip to Alfreton to provide their support, both they, and the players, really appreciate it.

Steve Carragher and Martin Molyneux failed tests before todays game following knocks sustained in the Vauxhall Motors match, and although shown on the bench, were never going to enter the fray. Matty McGinn just passed his fitness test. Lee Parle gritted his teeth and went through the pain barrier with a painful heel (not that you would have noticed from the outside - excellent performance).

Peter Ellis is carrying a tight hamstring and perhaps another forceful knock after a couple minutes made him less than fully mobile. Mike Garrity was carrying a hamstring injury by half time and a painful dig in the ribs put pay to his afternoon. He was due to go to hospital this evening to have a check up.

Carl Rendell is suffering with a hernia but is willing to carry on whilst we have the injuries and that is to his credit.

In addition we still have some players that are out of contention at the moment, Tom Spearitt who still has no set date for return with his achilles problem, Anton Lally who is about two weeks away from returning to training, Carl Furlong who is still not fit, and of course, Lee Kissock with his broken fibula - who still moves quicker on his crutches than some ;-)
