Alfreton Town moved five points clear at the top of Nationwide North after a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Runcorn at The Impact Arena on Friday night.

24 Sep 2004 : Vauxhall drawn against Runcorn in Carthium Cup

Runcorn have been drawn away to fellow Conference North side Vauxhall Motors in the First Round of this seasons' Carthium Cup. The tie will be played the week commencing the 1st November. The Carthium Cup is the new name for the Conference Cup, with all 66 Conference teams involved, with the draw regionalised until the semi-final stage.

The winners of the Vauxhall v Runcorn tie will then travel to the winners of the Barrow v Southport match in the Second Round, which is to be played the week commencing the 29th November. The winners of this match entertain Conference National side Carlisle United in the Third Round, week commencing 24th January 2005.

21 Sep 2004 : Runcorn to play Fleetwood Town in FA Cup

Runcorn will be playing Fleetwood Town following their 3-2 victory over Spennymoor United in their qualifier replay. The match takes place at Fleetwood's ground, the Highbury Stadium, on Saturday 2nd October, 3:00pm kick-off.

21 Sep 2004 : Linnets Get Second Home Win

An 8th minute goal by Runcorn's Carl Rendell was enough to give Runcorn all three points at the Halton Stadium for the second time in four days. Rendell turned the ball in at the back post after a mix up in the Barrow defence left him with a tap in. Full Report to follow on Friday, courtesey of the Non-League Paper.

20 Sep 2004 : Linnets Drawn Away In FA Cup

Runcorn FC Halton have been drawn away at either Spennymoor United or Fleetwood Town in the Second Qualifying Round of this seasons FA Cup. The tie will be played on Saturday 2nd October, kick off 3.00pm.

Spennymoor and Fleetwood played out a 1-1 draw on Saturday at Brewery Field in the First Qualifying Round. The replay is at Fleetwood's Highbury Stadium tomorrow evening.

The Linnets have played both of these sides before in the FA Cup. We needed a replay to overcome Spennymoor in the 4th Qualifying Round in 1978/79, winning 2-1 at Canal Street after a 0-0 draw at Brewery Field. We also faced Fleetwood in the 4th Qualifying Round in 1988/89, winning 3-1 at the Highbury Stadium.
