Runcorn have completed the signing of right full back Lee Prior. The 26 year old, who has impressed everyone at the club during pre-season, has signed from West Cheshire League outfit Newton FC.

A Ged Courtney goal secured victory in Runcorn's penultimate match of the pre-season warm-up against Barnton.

After a slow start that saw Mond go ahead in the 14th minute, goals from Lee Parle, Carl Rendell, Leon Williams and an own goal ensured victory for Runcorn, with Mond grabbing a late consolation.

A goal from Northwich Victoria's Mark Quayle in the 73rd minute stopped Runcorn's pre-season unbeaten run. In what was a very even match, Runcorn created a number of good chances throughout the game against the Conference National opponents.

Goals from Lee Parle (38), Lee Prior (55), Lee Kissock (80), Carl Rendell (46,71), and Tony McMillan (88-pen) ensured continued success in the pre-season warmup for Runcorn, however, the game was not as easy as the scoreline might suggest.
