21 Jul 2004 : Altrincham Date Moved

The Nationwide North game against local rivals Altrincham, scheduled for Saturday October 9th, has been put back three days to Tuesday October 12th, kick off 7.45pm.

This is because the Halton Stadium has been previously been booked for that date by the National Rugby Football League to host their Grand Final.

20 Jul 2004 : Runcorn beat Heswall 3-0

Goals from Ged Courtney (pen), Nicky Young, and Gavin Johnson (trialist) enabled Runcorn to continue their successful pre-season run against a useful Heswall team.

19 Jul 2004 : Runcorn Land Moore

Runcorn FC Halton Manager Chris Lightfoot has continued his summer squad rebuilding with the signing of Robbie Moore from local outfit Gen Chems.

27-year old Moore, who can play in central defence or central midfield, was originally a target for Lightfoot towards the end of last season only to suffer an injury. Now fully fit, Lightfoot has moved in once more in a signing that will give him more options at the back.

17 Jul 2004 : Runcorn beat Caernarfon Town 2-0

Goals from Mike Garrity and Ged Courtney ensured that the pre-season warm-up got off to a good start with a 2-0 win over Caernarfon Town.
