Although three points for a win would have been the preferred result to help Runcorn's attempt to ensure a top 13 place in the league, Runcorn came away with a single point from a goal-less draw with Burscough.

A penalty from Lee Kissock, and a goal from Chris Lightfoot in the dying minutes of the match ensured Runcorn came away with a point from their match with Alfreton.

Runcorn were unable to pull back from a Ben Dixon goal scored in the 18th minute. The lack of points for Runcorn leaves us in 14th place in the league, with the same number of points as Whitby, but ahead on goal difference. Although, crucially, just one place below automatic inclusion in the new Conference 2 league, we are still easily within reach of that all important 13th place.

A Ged Courtney goal in the 78th minute secured a valuable 3 points for Runcorn against Blyth Spartans.

In a goal-less draw, neither team were able to capitalise on their chances. Runcorn come away with a point against third place Barrow in their attempt to get into the top 13 for the end of the season.
