05 Nov 2003 : Injuries Clearing Up

It looks likely that Matty McGinn will be fit for Saturday's clash with Vauxhalls after missing Tuesday's victory over Burscough with a foot injury. Peter Ellis had to leave the field on Tuesday but should also be fit. Chris Lightfoot has also recovered from his ankle injury so the new Runcorn FC Halton manager should have a full squad to select from.

04 Nov 2003 : Runcorn beat Burscough 1-3

Runcorn put in a convincing performance to beat Burscough at Victoria Park. David Ness opened the scoring after just 6 minutes. Burscough equalised 15 minutes later. Ged Courtney put Runcorn ahead 10 minutes into the second half, with Kevin Leadbetter scoring the third in the dying minutes of the match.

Although local press reported that he would play, Tony Thomas didn't play due to the fact that the club is still awaiting international clearance to sign him.

New signing Scott Parkinson came on to replace Peter Ellis who needed stitches in a head wound he suffered.
