Despite being 2-0 up at half time with goals from Kevin Leadbetter, and Chris Price, Runcorn were unable to prevent hosts, Frickley Athletic, from pulling back 2 goals for the draw.

Match Report

There have been a number of rumours regarding the club emanating from various places. We'd like to take the opportunity to dispel these rumours.

1. Mike Tomlinson has NOT been sold to Accrington Stanley.

2. The club's survival is assured to the end of the season, and so there are no fears that we have played our last home game.

It is true that the club's financial position is very tight, but this is not news to many of our supporters. The club's financial position is not helped by the lack of games that we are playing at the moment, but we are working on ways to raise more funds, via sponsorship and other activities, and are also looking for ways to reduce costs.

Gary Lunt has been transferred to Kidsgrove Athletic. Everyone at the Club wishes Gary all the best with his new club.

Tommo won his first England cap last night when he came on as second half substitute in the match in Belguim. Despite losing 3-1 the England team have received an enormous amount of praise - and congratulations to Tommo who created the England goal!

Runcorn FC Halton will be at home to Stalybridge Celtic on Wednesday 12th March 2003 7.45pm in the semi-final of the President's Cup. The other semi-final sees Ashton United at home to either Wakefield and Emley or Kidsgrove Athletic.
