06 Feb 2003 : TOMMO SELECTED FOR ENGLAND SQUAD

Congratulations to Mike Tomlinson who has been selected for the England semi-professional squad who travel to Belgium for a match next Tuesday

01 Feb 2003 : Runcorn lose to Accrington Stanley 2-0

Accrington scored from penalties in the 19th and 36th minutes, and Runcorn never seemed to threaten in the first half. The second half saw a stronger Runcorn dominating the play, but unable to make it stick. Stanley almost made it 3 when yet another penalty was awarded to them, but McMillan made the save.

29 Jan 2003 : Wakefield and Emley Match

The match against Wakefield and Emley due to take place at Belle Vue Ground on Saturday 8th February 2003 has now been postponed and will be played on Tuesday 18th February with a 7.45pm kick off.

26 Jan 2003 : Ian Baines

Ian Baines has been released by the Club as he wishes to retire. He leaves with the good wishes of everyone connected with Runcorn FC Halton.

25 Jan 2003 : Runcorn beat Spennymoor United 3-1

Runcorn are through to the next round of the President's Cup after beating Spennymoor United 3-1. Goals from Matty McGinn after 26 minutes, Lee Parle after 35, and Dave Gamble just before half time saw Runcorn go into the break 3-0 up. In the second half, Runcorn were primarily defending their lead from a more resolute opposition, who managed to pull one back.
