Dave Gamble put Runcorn ahead with a penalty setting the score to 1-0 which lasted to the interval. The second half saw a goal from Liam Watson, and two from Matty McNeil. It looked as though Runcorn were to keep a clean sheet, when just a couple of minutes from the final whistle, Wakefield & Emley managed a consolation goal.

Despite a 2-0 lead at half time, Runcorn could only hold Blyth to a 2-2 draw, with Blyth's second goal coming in the 90th minute. Runcorn's goals were scored by Chris Lightfoot, who was playing up front, and Chris Price.

Runcorn exited from their third cup competition in a week with a loss at home against Chorley in the UniBond Cup. The final score was 3-1.

Runcorn are now in the President's Cup, and play Leek Town on Tuesday, 10th December, at the Halton Stadium. Kick off is at 7:45pm.
