Wes Kinney has recovered from an ankle injury and should be back in contention for the match against Stalybridge on Saturday.

Peter Ellis will be out for a least a couple of weeks with an injury sustained in the first minute of the game against Bradford PA on 24th August.

The first win of the season came to Runcorn via two goals from new lad, Chris Lightfoot. The first goal came in the 45th minute, giving Runcorn the lead into half time, and the second in the 56th.

After the second goal Runcorn sat back a little, and allowed Bradford to bring the game to them, but encouragingly, there was a definite improvement in Runcorn's play over the previous couple of games.

The Forward Together Group, formerly known as the Fundraising Steering Group, invite all fans to an open meeting which is to be held at 5:00pm after the match against Bradford PA on Saturday 24th August.

They would like as many people as possible to get involved in the fundraising, either through helping to generate the money or, just as importantly, by supporting the group's activities.

Please try and attend the meeting, the venue for which will be announced during the Bradford game.

Just minutes before the end of the first half, a slip up from Chris Lightfoot left Tony McMillan stranded with a one on one situation with Barrow's Chris Ward. Ward managed to beat McMillan, and was able to poke one home into the empty net.

In the second half, Runcorn made a stronger showing which paid off in the 70th minute with a goal from Matty McNeil.
