At the Holiday Inn, Runcorn, on the 24^th April, Runcorn FC Halton held it's first annual awards presentation evening. You can see pictures of the players receiving their awards here.

In the penultimate home game of the season Runcorn were defeated by a strong Bradford P. A. side. Runcorn were always on the back foot after P. A. beat Winstanley on the rebound after only six minutes.

Periods of good play on both sides were interrupted by a simple lack of discipline that the referee failed to keep in check.

P. A. were reduced to 10 men in the second half, following a hand-ball incident, but were still able to capitalise on the counter-attack to draw 2-0 ahead.

Runcorn tried hard in the closing moments, but were unable to find the net, finding the Bradford defence too strong. Bradford were strong on the counter-attack, and Runcorn could have conceded more.

Neither side scored in the first half. In the second half, Steve Carragher scored, as did Accrington, leaving the final score at 1-1.

Alan Cowley scored after 24 minutes, and Chris Price 10 minutes after that.

Early in the second half Whitby scored, but goals from Steve Carragher, and John Ryder (who had come on to replace the injured Ian Baines) made the final score 4-1.
