On a foggy night, Runcorn held Witton to a 1-1 draw with an Alan Cowley goal equalising Witton's lead early in the second half.

Vauxhall were first to score, but goals from Paul McNally and Steve Carragher put Runcorn into the lead. However, Vauxhall were able to equalise, and then pull ahead, leaving the final score at 3-2.

After a slightly late kick-off due to a hole in one of the nets (fixed by Nessy - invaluable to the team even when injured), Runcorn got off to a good start with a goal from Liam Watson after 15 minutes. Bamber Bridge went down to 10 men after 30 minutes when a player retaliated against a Chris Price foul. However, the Bamber Manager's loud and continuous instruction from the touchline seemed to pay off as they equalised just before half time.

Bamber went 2-1 up 15 mins into the second half, and Runcorn equalised 5 minutes later. A Chris Price goal put the Linnets into their final triumphant position just minutes from the final whistle.

After twenty one minutes, Steve Carragher set Runcorn on their way, which Dave Gamble added to three minutes from half time. Farsley came back after half time with renewed vigour, and scored within two minutes of the start of the second half, and equlised fifteen minutes later.
