02 Oct 2001 : Runcorn beat Marine 3-0

Two goals from captain Paul McNally, and one from Gary Lunt, all in the first half, saw Runcorn beat Marine in the Liverpool Senior's Cup.

Runcorn played well in the first half, but were less cohesive in the second, giving Marine a few chances. However, it was enough to enable them to maintain a clean sheet.

Attendance : 212

29 Sep 2001 : Runcorn beat Gateshead by 4 goals to 2 in the FA Cup

An early Steve Carragher goal set Runcorn off to a good start, and Gary Lunt's hatrick made the scoreline 4-0.

Some questionable decisions included the sending off of Neil Whalley, and what seemed like about a dozen yellow cards. Mark Winstanley played very well, and managed to save one penalty, but the second penalty for a Steve Lathom hand-ball beat him, and gave Gateshead their second goal.

Runcorn played very well, and deserved the win.
